Surrogate mothers

India is cheap in surrogacy treatments. Many other countries couples are showing interest in surrogacy methods in India. In India it starts from 2 lakh rupees. The laws involved in this process are minimal where as in US/other countries, laws are strict and time consuming. In India doctors are capable of implementing surrogacy and success rate is also good.


Surrogate mothers are who involved in the process of delivering baby to others. Sometimes they become egg donors. In some cases both egg and sperm are taken from actual parents. Surrogate mothers have to carry their baby.

Surrogate mothers are paid for doing this. It varies from person to person. Doctors/Institutions take contract signed by this woman. She has to go through some tests before the process and need to take some hormone injections to sustain baby in her womb. These mothers will not have any right on baby after delivery.

Mostly poor people and uneducated people are becoming surrogate mothers. They get big amount just in 9 months, they use this money to clear their debts or to cure their husband’s or kids ill health.

Surrogacy methods are blessing for couples who could not conceive and have fertility problems. But we are unsure about the health of surrogate mother. If surrogate mothers keep on repeat this method, what will happen to their health? There is a chance that husbands’ can force poor women to get good money through this process. But government is not taking strict decisions on this and no strict rules/laws on this process.
